Name: Helen Campbell AKA Magenta
DOB: 12/3/1987
Nationality: British (Scottish)
Power: Future Sight

Early Life:

Helen Campbell is from Perth in Scotland and was brought up by her father after her mother left the family when she was 6 months old. Oddly for a child Helen never seemed to get into any scrapes or accidents. She was a very introverted child also, lost in her own imagination a lot of the time. At age 9 she went to live with her Grandmother while her father went and worked on an oil rig. Her Grandmother was a fortune teller over the phone and occasionally at fairgrounds. Effectively a fraud she was something of an expert at cold reading and telling customers what they wanted or expected to hear. Helen would go along to her readings from time to time. During one particular reading where nothing much of consequence happened the punter left her grandmothers tent, ten seconds later Helen leapt to her feet and ran after the punter, she grabbed his arm and told him not to get in his car, as he tried to calm the young girl down a truck lost control and piled into his parked car on the drivers side causing massive damage. The man was dumb-founded, had this little girl not delayed him he would almost certainly have been killed in his car. The story made the local papers but soon sunk without a trace with many writing it off as some kind of coincidence. However Helen’s grandmother was convinced that her granddaughter had some kind of ability and would test her with Tarot cards, making Helen guess what the next card was, she was never wrong. After all of these basic tests it seemed as though Helen could only see about twenty seconds into the future. It was a frustrating limit as any money that could be made required longer such as a horse race or sports event and Helen was too young for casinos. One day however Helen was no longer too young for casinos. On her 18th birthday she caught the train to London and started to play in a handful of establishments. Roulette was her game of choice as most of the time she could see the number the ball found on the wheel just in time to place a bet. Over the following months she was successful to the point of naivety. Most casinos banned her, so she took to the hugely popular poker circuit. Knowing which cards were about to be turned over or laid down by her opponents was a significant advantage. She made no attempt to hide her successes and teenage poker champions were pretty uncommon. Elite Force scouts heard the story and were duty bound to report any unusual human activities to their superiors. Therefore Helen was brought in for testing.

Elite Force:

Helen was fearful of the trouble her ability may have got her into. This fear made her tell all about her skill and prove it to her inquisitors. Elite Force felt that as it stood it could be useful in combat, providing a kind of assistance either over intercom or in the room at a safe distance. She would need to be trained in defending herself of course. The real prize however, was to get Helen to extend the limit of her power to take in future events further in the distance than twenty seconds. The power Elite Force could wield by knowing a day or a week or longer in advance would be immense. Now Helen divides her time between combat training and testing of her powers. Her value was so apparent that she was made offers she could not refuse to join, millions of US Dollars were placed in trust for her and her father and grandmother were well taken care of. She was even allowed to come up with her own alias. She chose ‘Magenta’ as pink was her favourite colour and there was already a pop star called ‘Pink’. She finds the combat sessions very difficult with no grounding in it whatsoever. The advantage she has is she can sometimes see punches and kicks coming towards her right before they happen, almost as if it is in slow motion, which saves her from a few drubbings. This skill is still quite raw though. The trainers are under strict instructions to protect her when necessary and save morale getting too low. This is against their better judgement however, as they would rather see her learn from defeat.

Psychology:

Helen is a good natured girl of average intelligence. She knows that she is valuable to Elite Force but does not really understand the politics of the situation and is really in over her head. She dislikes combat training but continues as she doesn’t wish to let anyone down. She is not convinced that she will ever be able to do the things that they want her to do.

Bluebird Profile

Bluebird
Real Name: Sarah Harper
DOB: 01/01/1988
British
Power: Enhanced Speed & Stamina
She is a Double Agent working for both MI6 and the CIA.

Early Life:

Sarah was born to Charles and Emily Harper in 1988. Charles Harper worked for British Military Intelligence from 1991 until his death in an overly zealous interrogation in 2002 by the CIA. It was suspected that he was passing secrets to the Iranians and although never cracked under interrogation his heart stopped as a result of electric shocks. He was a victim of ‘Extraordinary Rendition’ whereupon he was taken to a ‘black site’ in Egypt for his fateful interrogation. This killing, though never proven, caused a large personal rift between members of the British secret service and the CIA. Until this point Sarah had lived a quiet and happy comfortable middle-class upbringing in London. She was a superb schools athlete and academic pupil. She was 14 when her father died, the explanation given was a heart attack while away on business (technically correct). The loss of her father scarred Sarah very deeply and she spent her mid-teens losing focus of her promising academic career where she gave into drinking and mild drugs. Since the death of Charles she and her mother had been surveilled by Charles’ former boss and friend Simon Cross. He was deeply hurt by what had happened to Charles and what his death was now doing to his family. For this reason Simon created an alias for himself and infiltrated the Harpers lives. He did this initially by wooing Emily the widow with his considerable charm and they married in 2004 making Simon, or more precisely his alias, Sarah’s step-father. Simon took notice of Sarahs problems, doing much to remove any bad influences from her life. He saw huge potential in her athletically, she seemed to have almost limitless stamina and he encouraged her into martial arts training. Simon spent a great deal of time with Sarah and began to obsess about her. His marriage to Emily was an act but he began to develop strong feelings for the daughter and before long they began an affair. This was a considerable betrayal by Simon who at first had transplanted himself into Charles Harpers life and was now taking advantage of his teenage daughter. The betrayal stretched beyond him also with Sarah enthralled by this man but also wracked with guilt about betraying her mother. It was clear to Simon that Sarah had the skills to become an agent and so shortly before her 18th birthday he revealed that he worked for MI6 and nothing more. She gained entry to the service on his say-so and was given extensive combat and weapons training. Her ability to last without tiring was truly impressive, amongst the best anyone had ever seen. Simon still harboured great anger towards the CIA and wanted to use Sarah against them. He knew without proof that members of the CIA who had given the go-ahead to the torture of Charles Harper reported to ‘The Collective’ and ‘Elite Force’. Simon took the unilateral decision to try and get Sarah inducted into Elite Force with the express use of leaking information to him about the Force from the inside. Unbeknownst to Simon she was also approached by members in the CIA who were not in the ‘Elite Force loop’ and who wanted information on their training techniques and future operations. She declined to serve as an agent for the Americans until they informed her with indisputable proof about the real Simon Cross, his relationship with her father and the way he had callously infiltrated the lives of a grieving family. Importantly they omitted from their account any details about the death of Charles Harper. Sarah was still in a relationship, albeit an unequal one, with Simon and he had considerable emotional power over her still, despite these revelations. She decided to play double agent and leak information to both sources while she figured out just what to do about it all. She wished to cool her relations with Simon but the necessary conversation never occurred as she was whisked away to Elite Force training, where she would not see him on a regular basis for some time.

Elite Force:

Sarah was permitted to enter Elite Force for training as strings had been pulled by two separate members of ‘The Collective’. This was in fact fraudulent and rather shaky ground to be working on. Her contacts in both the CIA and MI6 took the punt using names of people they suspected were Collective members, it turns out they were right and therefore Sarah was allowed to join. Sarah impressed the hierarchy in the Force with her solid attitude and useful skills. While her powers were diminutive by comparison to other members, she was resourceful and intelligent in ways that were uncommon amongst current recruits. She would find combat quite harsh as those she fought were generally more powerful, but her ability to continue despite taking damage was commendable and would see her through some sticky situations. She enjoyed the training but never felt as though she would ever make it as a field operative as she expected to be pulled out at some point if her cover was blown. Should she make it as an operative her plan was to do as Elite Force wanted unless told otherwise by her contacts in British and American intelligence, it could prove a difficult juggling act. Right now she must simply continue to exist in the Force until she is needed, that means impressing her trainers to the extent that they don’t throw her out, which will be difficult considering what she is up against.

Powers:

Sarah is capable of enhanced speed and stamina. She can also take considerable punishment and still be able to fight on. This is a useful if unglamorous power and good enough to warrant her training. If she does tire momentarily she can quickly overcome it.

Psychology:

Sarah is in a difficult position. She is being pressurised and pulled in several different directions. Guilt over what she has done to her mother, abandonment issues regarding her father, and a reasonably strong feeling of betrayal by Simon Cross. Overall she feels like someone who is being used but has no way of removing themselves from this. She is controlled by others and it seems as though something will have to give in the tangled web of her life. She is good natured by and large but also pretty determined. She is a good actress and a fine liar, able to tell even the smartest people what they want to hear in order for her to continue in her role with Elite Force.

Elite Force officials today described the reaction to their first release of training room footage as ‘heartening’. Much concern had been expressed within official circles that this course may be a mistake but it now seems clear that a second film will be released in the coming days.

Sebastian Luner AKA 不滅

Nationality: British/Spanish

DOB: 15/7/1981

Power: Nine Lives Assassin

Early Life:

Sebastian was born in Pamplona, Spain. His father Julio was a drug trafficker who was married and faithful to his mother Elena. His father was a cold-blooded killer who did not attempt to hide his violent work from his son. He instilled in Sebastian the belief that; “The weak should fall, and every life you take makes you stronger” in fact this was true in the case of Julio, who was dubbed ‘Alma Muerta’ or ‘Dead Soul’ based on his cold attitude and the fact he had been shot many times yet survived. Years later Julio would elaborate on his philosophies, telling Sebastian that he carried black magic with him that passed to his son, for every life he took another would be added on to his. At age 5 Elena left Julio and took Sebastian to London where her parents were living, Julio could not follow due to extradition treaties but ordered the murder of his estranged wife. Sebastian remained in England with his grand-parents after the death of his mother before seeking out his father again during his teens. At which point he learned about his hereditary powers. Despite much anger towards his father for ordering the hit against Elena, the bond between father and son proved strong and soon the boy was working for his fathers syndicate. Sebastian wasted no time in taking lives for his father but before he could really get started the law caught up with Julio, placing him in prison for life in solitary confinement. Sebastian fled Spain and found his way to Japan. When in Tokyo he joined with a Yakuza group, his penchant for violence impressing them. Soon he was working as a bare handed assassin, he was excessively strong and could take a lot of punishment, worse than this he could survive gunshot wounds. He became a legend among the Japanese underground, known as ‘The Immortal’ (不滅) after 5 years of working for Yakuza bosses he learned that he had not been paid properly for his most recent assignment, his rage at this coupled with his boredom of the Yakuza caused him to kill 5 Yakuza bosses and take as much money as he could lay his hands on. He was hunted across Japan for this and had to flee yet again. He slowly made his way back to Spain, casually dispensing of any unfortunate who happened to be around him whenever his violence was ready to be unleashed. His time in Japan alerted him to Elite Force as basically a one man terrorist operation, and they sent their best people to arrest him.

Elite Force:

Sebastian was arrested by Powerstar in 2006. He had been wanted for a long time and was considered extremely dangerous yet she was able to take him down after a rather punishing battle due to his advanced strength and defence on top of his main attribute. He was taken to an Elite Force testing facility and put under heavy sedation while they worked out how to deal with him. His power, while still something of a mystery to them appeared as though it could be very valuable but it was clear early on that in his current mental state it would be impossible to turn him to their side, or any side for that matter. To date they have killed him 8 times and each time he has awakened within 24 hours of death, most often within a minute. No defibrillators were used or resuscitation techniques, his heart just began beating again. It cannot be confirmed whether he truly gains a life by taking one but he certainly seems to believe it. Elite Force did a great deal of testing on Sebastian to work out which parts of his brain are stimulated by the prospect of killing. Armed with this information they developed a collar which deals powerful electric shocks at the point where it looks likely he will kill. After this had been proven to distraction Sebastian was kept in his cell and brought out to help in the training of recruits, violence remained in him but the killer instinct was taken away by the collar and the ability to lock his boots down to the magnetised floor. This made him the perfect foil for recruits as he was someone who could give them a real world challenge, someone who really wanted to hurt them but who could not kill them.

Power:

Sebastian gains a life for everyone he takes. He worked as an assassin for 5 years for the Yakuza’s in Japan and slay 60 people on their behalf, upon leaving the Yakuza’s he killed 5 of their number and during his long walk back to the west it is not known how many people he killed, he is addicted to killing. Elite Force believed that when they began testing him he had at least 100 lives to burn. Now that he has been chemically robbed of the ability to kill (temporarily at least) he is using his lives up as they learn about how he works.

Psychology:

Sebastian does not value human life other than to strengthen his own. He was addicted to killing and remains addicted to violence. He is currently extremely frustrated by his position in Elite Force and longs for revenge on them, something he is at least able to get in a small way with its recruits. He feels very inadequate having met the same fate as his father but before passing on his gift. All he can think about is getting out of captivity and finding a cure for the ‘sickness’ Elite Force have inflicted upon him. He is beginning to fear death for the first time as his lives are being used up with no hope of replenishment, although he knows he has many left.

Dr Truth Profile

•August 12, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Dr Truth

Name: Armin Schlau
Age: 34
Height: 5’10
Weight: 165lbs
Nationality: German

Power:

Armin has the uncanny ability to get people to do what he wants. Although very few of them know why. This has been described as ‘Coercive Persuasion’ and is used with varying intensity depending upon the subject. Armin has no physical strength of training so his effects are purely psychological.

Encounter with Red Mist:

Armin is naturally very interested in people and he observes them in a very clinical fashion. He understands human psychology very well and this enables him to get to the heart of his subjects problems with great ease. He believes that all people are very similar, he does not believe that anyone is infallible either. Most people put on a front and he is very capable of working around this to see the true picture. He was a committed academic and wrote many theses on the human mind, body language, and psychology in general. He has a particular interest in psychotics for their minds largely work outside the confines of most humans.

He was brought into Red Mist after one of his theses was published and read by a high ranking member of the Collective. The thesis was about the similarities between the individual and the masses, and what stimuli may be applied to get individuals or large groups to do what you want. Armin boasted in his thesis that once you knew specific rules you could control anybody. At the meeting Armin was asked to try this. At which point he secretly placed the Collective member into his persuasion and subtly manipulated the surroundings to make him more suggestible. As far as his subject could tell this was an extremely potent form of hypnosis and it impressed the Collective member who put Red Mist in contact with Armin. At first it was to help bring any doubters into the cause, his value was far greater however and his role increased into fields of interrogation, and the extraction of information, which was an area Red Mist were very pleased to expand into.

Own Psychology:

Armin is very much an outsider with no desire to be accepted or belong. Intellectually he considers himself above pretty much all humanity and is generally amused by their antics however serious or foul. He is very interested in the objectives of Red Mist, but he is involved purely out of scientific interest rather than being a ‘believer’. He has not considered the moral implications of anything they wish to do as such a thing is too emotive, he simply doesn’t work that way. He considers the hopes, dreams, and loves of ordinary people a result of chemical reactions in their animals brain, but he does enjoy toying with them.
